Job Overview:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities through prospecting that align with our target criteria to meet company needs. This role will collaborate closely with our internal team to develop strategies and secure projects. Additionally, this position involves representing JP Cullen at events and within the communities where we work and live.
- Major Responsibilities Include:
- Research, network and develop strong and genuine relationships with architects, engineers, influencers and client decision-makers
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through effective prospecting
- Active participation as a JP Cullen representative in business and community organizations in the region, regularly attending meetings and events
- Collaborate with the entire team, leveraging collective expertise to achieve our sales goals
- Provide coaching and support to Project Managers and other division members.
- Assist with proposals, presentation and event strategy and execution
Qualifications Desired:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or related experience
- Building trust and rapport easily, having passion for people, and an understanding of human behavior
- Listening, thinking on your feet, and asking the right questions to develop the best strategies to meet the unique needs of each client or prospect
- Setting high expectations for yourself and their work product, having a hard-charging drive to succeed
- Excellent communication skills, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration to win work
