Virtual Design & Construction

We tailor the tools of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) technologies to meet our client’s specific needs and deliver a higher-quality end product. VDC is a planning tool that allows our team to assess where problems could occur before construction begins.

Lean Design & Construction

VDC tools and techniques improve the construction process throughout the project, allowing for better collaboration between the team, reducing risks to cost and schedule due to rework, and enhancing your overall experience, allowing you to visualize the end result.

Laser Scanning

Making inaccurate assumptions about a building structure and infrastructure are the root cause of many design, collision, and field issues that cause project delays. Laser scanning technology eliminates those assumptions and provides visual confirmation along with incredibly accurate dimensions.

Rebar Scanning

This is used to locate reinforcing steel in concrete or other materials prior to construction. Failure to do so can result in costly mistakes that can delay a project, while also damaging the integrity and stability of the structure.

Drones

Drones capture not only amazing aerial photos and videos of jobsites but also provide big data, safety opportunities, and better management, which all lead to efficiency, saving you time and money.

Building Information Modeling (BIM)

BIM ensures the design and system components are integrated and coordinated properly to create a successful project and reduce future design changes.

Virtual Reality

For many, visualizing a 3D space based on 2D plans is challenging. Building a real-life mock-up could waste time and money when the process has to be repeated over and over the changes. Virtual reality (VR) allows our clients to look around in a 3D world and visualize how a future room will look at every angle.

MEPF Coordination

The 3D models from the design team are combined with the MEPF subcontractors’ 3D shop drawings to create one composite coordination model. With this model, we can spot clashes or design issues and solve them prior to stepping foot on the construction site. We also use BIMTrack as a communication platform, which speeds up collaboration, increases across-the-board understanding, and aligns the work of team members.

TouchPlan

BIM ensures the design and system components are integrated and coordinated properly to create a successful project and reduce future design changes.

360 Panoramic Cameras

These cameras capture images that are combined on a floor plan providing a virtual walk-through of the project. Need to go back and see what was in a wall a year or two later? Use the 360 photos to see what is in the wall before a destructive investigation.

In-House Experts

Our in-house experts, led by Pete Scharenbroch, have a keen understanding of the importance of a well-designed plan for both engaging and educating stakeholders throughout the entire life of the project – from the day we are hired and beyond the completion of construction. We will ensure you have a strategic plan and assist you in the planning and execution of your virtual design project.
