JP Cullen, a Wisconsin-based $800 million plus, 132-year-old, 5th generation family-owned construction firm, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Director of Business Development to join our Industrial team. Specific responsibilities include:
- Hunting for Opportunities
- Uncover and identify potential leads within the industrial sector
- Turn leads over to the team for further development
- Continuously seek new opportunities to expand our client base
- Relationship Building
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and potential clients
- Leverage your network to introduce our services and create business opportunities
- Closing Deals
- Ability to work with the team to negotiate and close deals with clients
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of our offerings and value propositions
- Strategic Support
- Assist in creating compelling proposals, presentations, and event strategies
- Collaborate with the team to execute successful business development initiatives
- Travel Requirements
- Be willing to travel to meet clients’ needs and win projects
- Embrace the road-warrior mentality
- Qualifications
- Previous business development experience (construction experience preferred but not mandatory)
- Ability to prequalify opportunities effectively
- Proven track record of working with the team to close deals
- Willingness to hit the ground running and contribute immediately
- Tenacity, persistence, and a “will not quit” attitude.
- Experience with contract negotiations (significant experience preferred)
- Education / Experience: 4-year degree and/or demonstrated experience in business, sales, marketing, construction, project management, or other related field (construction experience is not a requirement but strongly preferred).
