School District of Janesville Greenhouses
This greenhouse project represents a forward-thinking investment by the School District of Janesville, featuring two new high-performance facilities at Craig and Parker High Schools. Replacing the outdated greenhouses at both high schools, the project was designed to create larger, more efficient learning environments with classroom space, additional storage, and advanced environmental controls that meet today’s commercial and industrial greenhouse standards. The project also helps advance STEM and Agricultural Education.
With JP Cullen serving as the construction manager and EUA as the architect, the project reflects a collaborative delivery focused on quality, schedule, and future-ready design. Construction began at Parker in May and at Craig in June, with the completion of both facilities that following September. Through strong coordination and a commitment to ensuring lasting value, we transformed these facilities into modern, high-functioning learning environments that support both educational needs and long-term workforce development.
Now complete the greenhouses support full class instruction for the first time at both Craig and Parker High Schools, providing students with direct experience in drip irrigation, hydroponics, aquaponics, and eco-friendly growing practices. The new facilities have helped strengthen FFA programming, increase plant sales and fundraising capacity, and reinforce our role in constructing innovative spaces that serve schools, students, and the Janesville community.
