1. Showed Appreciation for our Apprentices
In honor of National Apprenticeship week, we reminded our 92 apprentices from Janesville, Madison, and Milwaukee that what they are doing is more than just a job. Read More
2. Held our 4th Annual JP Cullen Construction Career Fair
We held our 4th Annual JP Cullen Construction Career Fair for hundreds of high school students in the area. Students got a chance to learn about all of the different aspects of the construction industry and had the opportunity to get some hands-on experiences. Read More
3. Celebrated Two Big Office Moves in Milwaukee, WI and Madison, WI
The Milwaukee office moved Downtown Milwaukee and the Madison office moved to a bigger space on the 8th floor. Read More
4. Not All Superheroes Wear Capes
The theme for this year’s Annual Meeting fit the JP Cullen team perfectly – Superheroes. Read More
5. Honored the Past
Our founder J.P. Cullen reported in the Janesville Gazette on this day in 1918 as the Chamber of Commerce president, “Every heart is full today and rightly so. The greatest of all wars has ceased. Soon our boys will be coming home. To our boys–to all the brave boys of the Allied nations, HAIL.” Read More
6. Daily Reporter Honors Jeff Schwasinger with 2018 Newsmakers of the Year Project Manager of the Year
We celebrated our Project Manager Jeff Schwasinger for being awarded Project Manager of the Year at the Daily Reporter’s Newsmakers of the Year awards. Read More
7. Awarded Our Employees for Being Safe
We began our Quarterly Safety Bonus Initiative this year. The initiative was designed to empower our field crews to lead their peers by completing positive safety events and rewarding them for encouraging safety protocol. Read More
8. Volunteered 2,500+ Hours to Local Organizations
This year we celebrated Women’s Build Day with Habitat for Humanity. The goal of Women’s Build Day is to empower women to help families build strength, stability, and independence. JP Cullen volunteered at several other organizations this year as well including the Girls World Expo, Gilda’s Club, American Heart Association, United Way, Milwaukee Homeless Veteran Initiative, Revitalize Milwaukee, Kids Building Wisconsin to name a few!
9. Won Several Awards for Our Work with the Milwaukee Bucks
From work at the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Sports Science Center to the Milwaukee Bucks Arena Steel, we received several awards for both projects with our diversity of subcontractors, the roles prefabrication and BIM played, and our focus on safety first. Read More
