Job Overview:

JP Cullen is seeking an experienced and dynamic Design-Build Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, design, and construction phases of design-build projects within our Industrial Division – ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of design and construction processes, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders efficiently.

 

Major Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead the design-build project team, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules and resources
  • Oversee the design process, ensuring compliance with project specifications, building codes and regulations
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and ensure their expectations are met
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders
  • Monitor projects, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track
  • Ensure quality control and safety standards are maintained throughout the project
  • Prepare and present project reports, including progress updates, financial summaries, and risk assessments
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
  • Quote work and effectively manage the project to make profits

 

Qualifications Desired:
  • Four-year college degree related to construction/engineering; and at least 3 years of experience with Design-Build projects
  • Proficient with the front-end sales & project development side of projects including compiling proposals, conceptual estimating for budgets, etc.
  • Proven experience of successfully managing projects in value up to $50 million
  • Passion for guiding multiple project teams that include architects, engineers, estimators, superintendents, and foreman to sustain maximum profits.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in project management software and tools (i.e. Procore, Microsoft Project, etc.)
  • PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus
