Location:
The 111,000 square-foot Advanced Manufacturing Training Center (AMTC) is a state-of-the-art facility designed to give students the edge in developing modern, industry-standard skills, making them highly desirable to employers. The project consisted of renovations to seven existing buildings which took place in two phases in less than a year. This brought secondary education back to Milton. The project also included an addition which now houses programs such as welding, computer numerical control, electro-mechanical technology and many more. All labs are equipped with state-of-the-art machines and tools that meet or exceed industry standards.
Staying true to Blackhawk Tech’s mission or focusing on helping students build their future with flexible education in a supportive environments, an open computer lab where students can study and collaborate with others is now located near the front of the building. The majority of program-specific labs also have open lab hours, as part of the FlexLab portion of their classes.
In addition, there is also a self-checkout micro-market where students can purchase food, snacks, and drinks on-campus. This service is located at the front of the building, near the welcome desk.
