Dedicated to Future Builders

Tiffany Scuglik

This month, we celebrated National Apprenticeship Week at JP Cullen. National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is a nationwide celebration that brings together business leaders, career seekers, labor, educational institutions and other critical partners to demonstrate their support for apprenticeship.

Apprentices on the Job

Our apprentices are doing some awesome things, so we decided to highlight some of them throughout the week.

Peter Schumacher is an apprentice at the VA Soldiers Home. Currently he is working on removing subflooring to prepare for the new hardwood floor.

Joe Meyer is a second year Carpenter Apprentice. Joe is currently working on grouting interior hallow metal frames for sound control and installing rigid board insulation on the exterior walls before steel studs are built.

Carpenter Apprentice, Jake Phillips is installing cabinets at the VA Soldiers Home!

Congratulations to this year’s graduates!

Dedicated to Future Builders

JP Cullen has been dedicated for years in preparing apprentices to be future builders. We have a dedicated Apprenticeship Committee that works with schools and local organizations to educate young adults about getting into the trades. Once a person joins the apprenticeship program, the committee meets with you to go over their career path and provide them with the tools and coaching to improve.

Every year, we host an event where we bring all our apprentices together for a meeting filled with stories, lessons learned and training. This year looked a little different, but thankfully, the weather was beautiful and we were able to host the event outside in smaller groups.
