Then & Now
Meet Matt
Matt Roberts, Ironworker Foreman, has been with JP Cullen for 15 years and has never been laid off once. Read what he had to say about how his career has grown:
“Crazy to think when I first started 20+ years ago, I was crawling around on steel beams, not tied off, before we used boom lifts. So glad things have changed for the safety of myself and my fellow Ironworkers!”
Being able to work with some of the hardest working men and women in the business, being part of a brotherhood in this construction world, and knowing that so many people have your back. For me, it started when I was a kid. My dad was an Ironworker and would take me on jobs, and I was always amazed by the cranes and the people he worked with. I knew that’s what I wanted to do.
JP Cullen is such a great place to work; my wife earned a job here a few years ago!”

During my three summers as an intern with JP Cullen, I had the opportunity to work on some unique jobs. Regardless of the division or project, JP Cullen’s commitment to the field and the development of its employees remained strong and consistent. I loved that even the interns had responsibility on the jobsite and the opportunity to see the work being put in place.
