Meet the Crew: Scott Erickson

Tiffany Scuglik

This week we are shining the spotlight on Scott Erickson!  Scott is currently working as a Site Engineer at the Milwaukee Bucks Arena where we are erecting the steel.

What is your proudest achievement?

My proudest achievement is becoming a father.  My wife, Kelsey, and I got married after my third semester in college.  Yep.  We were pretty young.  After we got married, I finished up my last semester of my associates degree, and my wife finished up her last semester of her bachelors degree.  We then moved to Platteville, WI where I attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, while my wife worked.  We wanted to start a family, but we both knew it was not the right time.  I was offered an internship with JP Cullen the summer before my last year at UWP.  Once we knew I had a job, we started our family.  We had our first beautiful daughter, Clarice, on January 5, 2015, and our second daughter is due this June.  I absolutely love being a daddy, and I am proud of the hard work that got my wife and I to where we are.

Who has been most important to you?

My wife has been the most important person in my life.  Kelsey is my anchor and my best friend.  My daughter is also very important to me.  I love Clarice so much!  She is such a cool little person.  I enjoy teaching her things and spending time with her.

Tell us one thing that no one knows about you.

A lot of people know that I am a nerd when it comes to music, but something that not many know is that I like opera music.  I listen to opera when I need to relax or when I need to focus on a certain task.  Also, I am an opera star myself.  In the shower.  And in my car.  And anywhere else I think no one is listening.  Yep.  Nerd.

What has been the funniest moment in your career?

I had more of a funniest time period, rather than a funniest moment.  This was during the time recently when I was in Industrial Estimating in the Janesville office.  Kevin Johnson and I were office neighbors.  We spent our days yelling weird quotes back and forth, singing lines to songs, and performing dance moves in the hallway.  Yea, we thought we were pretty cool.  We had a lot of laughs.  Good times Kevin!
