culleneditor

Officials from the Whitewater Common Council, Community Development Authority, and Technology Park Board put on their hard hats and grabbed their shovels to make the first dig at UW-Whitewater’s Technologyy Park for the new Innovation Center. The 38,000 square foot Innovation Center will serve as a place for faculty, staff, and students to develop ideas that will create jobs and stimulate the local and regional economy. As the first building on the 125 acre Technology Park, the Innovation Center will better connect UW-Whitewater to the town of Whitewater and the surrounding communities. U.S. Senate Representative Russ Feingold, U.S. Representative Tammy Baldwin, state Senators Judy Robson and Neal Kedzie, and state Representatives Kim Hixson and Steve Nass attended the ground breaking to offer their support of the new Innovation Center.
