Location:
JP Cullen led the installation of equipment across multiple departments for their rice cake line at a Food Client’s facility in Virginia. Our scope of work encompassed the batching, tempering, popping, flavoring, drying, packaging, and
warehouse operations.
JP Cullen also managed and coordinated mechanical and electrical scopes between vendors, existing utilities, routing, drops, and construction details and sequencing.
In the Batching department, we installed two mixed kettles and an access platform. For Tempering, our team set up two super sack unloaders, volumetric feeders, metal detectors, a screener, and a tempering screw.
The Popping process was enhanced with the installation of 64 poppers, two popping conveyors, and a post conveyor with a hood. In the Flavoring area, we implemented an accufeeder and hood, an oil sprayer, fines conveyor and hood, a topping system and hood, a sugar sprayer, and a drain conveyor with a hood.
For the Drying operations, we installed a dryer infeed conveyor, an eight-section 64-foot dryer with legs, a dryer outfeed conveyor, and a dryer exhaust duct roof curb. Lastly, in the Packaging department, we installed a vision system, a palletizer, an accumulation conveyor, and a comprehensive setup including collators, inner wrappers, metal detectors, checkweighers, spirals, an outer bagger, case packer, and labelers.
