We partnered with Plunkett Raysich Architects (PRA) to conduct a comprehensive facility assessment for Germantown School District, laying the foundation for future capital planning and educational improvements. With most of the district’s buildings dating back over 60 years, the assessment was a critical step in identifying infrastructure needs, evaluating educational adequacy, and aligning facilities with modern learning environments.

The district includes six instructional buildings and one administrative facility, totaling nearly 900,000 square feet. The assessment aimed to provide Germantown’s leadership with a clear, data-driven roadmap for prioritizing improvements and planning future investments.

Our team evaluated three key dimensions of the district’s facilities:

  • Building Conditions & System Functionality
  • Capacity & Utilization
  • Educational Adequacy

Our team conducted detailed site visits, walking every classroom and corridor, inspecting above ceiling tiles, and interviewing staff. We utilized Matterport technology to create digital replicas of each building, enabling virtual walkthroughs and precise measurements of spaces.

PRA focused on how well each space supported instructional goals, identifying opportunities to expand collaborative learning areas, improve staff support zones, and address accessibility gaps.
