Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Storage Facilities Tank Foundations and Utilities
- Confidential Power Company
Location:
JP Cullen recently completed two projects for a Wisconsin power company at their Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facilities. These state-of-the-art plants are designed to enhance energy security for southeastern Wisconsin, each capable of holding 12 million gallons of liquefied natural gas. The facilities ensure that the power company can supply gas to homes and businesses during peak demand periods, especially in harsh winter months, and help buffer customers from volatile gas prices.
Our team was responsible for the mass foundations and tank foundations for the 150-foot-tall storage tanks, which are integral to the plants’ ability to store LNG.
The scope of work on both sites included excavations, site utilities, electrical feeds, grounding, flowable/engineered fill, foundations, structural steel and standing seam roofing for three buildings, and a pre-engineered metal building for the administrative building.
