Our work at the Madison Metro Transit Facility involved carefully phased construction to accommodate continuous owner occupancy in the existing business and maintenance garage, which operates 24/7. The project focused on renovating half of the bus maintenance bay and the southwest corner of the building, including facade replacements. We also added two small extensions, along with necessary sitework and utility upgrades. The renovated southwest corner now features essential facilities like a conference/training room, break room, offices, and more, with a new public entry on Ingersoll Street.

Exterior walls were upgraded with metal panels or exposed concrete, while interior construction utilized CMU brick. High-performance coatings, painted masonry, and various flooring finishes were applied internally. New openings included coiling overhead doors and aluminum storefronts. We also replaced building-wide infrastructure systems and installed equipment such as bus lifts and fueling systems.
