The newly constructed Noland Hybrid Laboratory offers students and staff a fully customizable learning environment. The construction involved converting smaller study rooms and storage areas into a versatile lab classroom that can accommodate a variety of curriculum. This adaptability is made possible by its new innovative design and ceiling paneling system that integrates lab service outlets and utility hook ups.
Unlike traditional lab setups where utility hook ups are fixed to walls and permanent benches, the redesigned infrastructure allows the lab service outlets and utilities to extend and floor from ceiling to the desks, providing accommodations for up to four students at a time – double the capacity of traditional benches.
