UW Health D2 – Hospital Expansion

Currently under construction, the UW Health University Hospital expansion is located at the heart of the University Hospital campus. Despite the challenges of a highly active and constraint jobsite, our team is demonstrating our expertise in communication, coordination and project management to keep the project on progress and no disruption to patient care or the Med-Flight team.

The project is an expansion that will add a bed tower and help provide care to more patients at University Hospital. The new 7-story tower will add 48-inpatient beds across 5 of the new additional floors, along with a prep-recovery flex bed unit, an expansion of the Emergency Department and Facility Support Services.

With an anticipated completion of late 2026, this bed tower will significantly increase the hospital’s capacity to serve the community, offering improved access to critical care.
