ProHealth Care Barstow Building Maintenance

JP Cullen is completing a phased renovation of the ProHealth Care Barstow Clinic in Waukesha, transforming the existing 25,000 square foot, three-story facility while healthcare services remain operational. The renovation modernizes key clinical and administrative spaces, including the Hispanic Health Resource Clinic, exam rooms, residency suite, and dental clinic, helping ProHealth Care make better use of its existing facility to support patients, providers, and staff.
Completing a renovation of this scale within an occupied clinic requires more than construction expertise. It takes careful planning around the people who rely on the facility every day. JP Cullen worked collaboratively with ProHealth Care, the design team, and trade partners during preconstruction to develop a four-phase approach that allows clinic operations to continue as work progresses from one area to the next.
The renovation includes extensive interior demolition and replacement of major mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with structural modifications, new walls and ceilings, flooring, painting, finish carpentry, HVAC and hydronic piping, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection improvements. By coordinating these interconnected systems within the existing building, the team can modernize the clinic while navigating the constraints and existing conditions that come with renovation work.
JP Cullen is also self-performing demolition, cast-in-place concrete, structural steel, masonry, and rough and finish carpentry. Having these capabilities within our own team provides greater control over critical scopes of work and supports close coordination as each phase progresses.
With the project continuing through 2026, the Barstow Clinic renovation reflects the approach JP Cullen brings to complex healthcare renovations: plan collaboratively, understand existing conditions, maintain ongoing operations, and carefully sequence construction around the needs of patients and staff.
