JP Cullen completed a state-of-the-art technology development center, Building One, for SHINE Medical Technologies, Inc. in Janesville, Wisconsin. The 11,400 sq. ft. Building One is one of the most advanced, private, nuclear technology facilities in the world. It includes both work space and offices.
JP Cullen completed the 6-month construction project three weeks ahead of schedule and on budget with zero OSHA-recordable incidents. SHINE is using this facility to initially house the first fully integrated, full-size SHINE production system. The building is also being used to train employees and develop an operating history with equipment.
The scope of the work included site work, underground utilities, concrete foundations, pre-engineered steel building, steel studs, building installation, finish work, and design-build MEP. JP Cullen self-performed the concrete foundations, footings, walls, and slab-on-grade, as well as the erection of the steel frame and metal building roofing and siding.
