This restoration project focuses on preserving and enhancing the historic integrity of this significant building which is on the National Register of Historic Places, the former Fess Hotel, through a series of targeted interventions.

Using advanced technology like virtual design and construction and drone technology, we thoroughly assed the building’s current conditions so the façade could undergo wood and metal restoration, as well as masonry repair and brick cleaning to maintain its historic character. Windows were also replaced and their wood surrounds restored, improving both aesthetics and energy efficiency.

In the kitchen area, we also demoed, installed new ceilings and flooring, and re-roofed the space. Additionally, the skylight was repaired to restore natural light. The patio also received a stucco restoration to ensure durability and appeal.

This project not only restored the building’s historic charm but also enhanced its functionality and sustainability for continued use by the Great Dane as they have done so for the past 30+ years.
